Click to expand. Click to shrink.to be fair they are exact opposites of each other, Ordonna has an amazing start that can be leveraged into a strong late game, but if you fk up it could lead to a swift death. But kokiri province has the hardest possible start thanks to a massive resource dearth at the start risking massive population loss and your weapons and armor degrading, but if you manage to fix that in time then you will be SET late game.(It's just hard to fix either factions problems in time and the other two provinces are actually easier in truth.). Character choice: Ilia Rusl Twilight Link Build your ownYou must pick your character before you can start choosing their traits. Traits wil benefit or hamper your character depending on the ones chosen (All traits that hamper let you pick more positive traits.)All pre-built characters will have at least 1-2 traits of their own with the Links have 3-5 traits including some Link-only traits. Also if you do not choose to be Link, the Link that is in this will be based on the BotW Link in fighting style and basic backstory. The Combat Style of each Link goes like this. Their traits will also reflect this.OoT Link: Magic: Best, Ranged combat: worst, Close combat: middle.Twilight Link: Magic: Worst, Ranged Combat: middle, Close Combat: Best.BotW Link: Magic: Middle, Ranged combat: Best, Close combat: Worst.so for example Twilight link will have traits to emphasize his swordsmanship and a bit of his ranged ability as well as a couple to represent his background and upbringing in cannon but have 0 magic potential, while BoTW Link (only other option left to you for the links.) will have several ranged combat traits a few magic traits but little close combat ones.
Out of all the picks you can have choosing Link will leave you with less customization than the other two though they also have their own traits. If you choose to build your own character you will have to give me a background consisting of at the very minimum: Name, Race, Gender, Where they lived, Profession And Basic personality (What emotions are most common, what are least common.) These will give them some basic in-built traits before letting you pick more to flesh them out. Be warned, the more of the character you tell me the more traits they will already have when you choose their traits, meaning there will be less for you to pick. X The lordName: Barak RussolRace: OrdonnianGender: MaleLocation: His domain in Ordona, near to the moblin territory.Profession: Lord of ordonniaPersonality:Barak is proud of his domain and his fighting abilities, for him attacks of moblins are not an evasiv threat but a real danger and he often had to go to fight against little warband who tried to pass the frontier with his horses and his mounted militia. Good archer and fighter with an axe, he is a determined commander and a cunning leader who like disorganize his ennemies whith mounted archery before charge them. He is an young ambitious lord who never appreciate to have to kneel in front of hylian lords who mocked him an his peoples like illetrate paysants, now he know that his time is come.Even he doesn't appreciate the ancient kingdom of Hyrule he is fascinating by his history and the power that it gain.
He dream to build a kingdom so strong and glorious that peoples will remember forever. He doesn't appreciate hylians for their arrogance and their disdain about his country but he doesn't hate them. And like every ordonians he hates moblins and think that they must be neutralized to allow the development of his country.Except this he can be a very charmous and sympathic character. He is very curious about new ideas and technologies.History:Barak is the son of a Ordonnian lord, in the village of Seria he learned quickly his childhood how to govern and protect his land and his subject.
He learned to mount horses and goats, and how use the spear, the axe and the bow from horseback. He learned that he had to obey and respect the kingdom of Hyrulewho was the protector and the suzerain of ordona. When he had 16 years he tried to become a knight of Hyrule but was refused to be an ordonian, a thing that he never forget and never forgive this insult. After the cataclysm he realized that things will never be like before, he understood that now without the suzerainety of Hyrule his county will face great menaces but great opportunities. The time of Hyrule was over, the time of ordona has began.
There were a few things that first drew me to Hyrule Warriors. First off was its apparent similarity to a fan-made game called Hyrule: Total War, although I figured out later on to retract this assumption. The second thing about Hyrule Warriors that made me really want to play it was its potential for a vast inclusion of characters from every part of the Zelda universe. Finally, I appreciated its fast-paced gameplay and graphically enhanced redesigns of characters and settings.I greatly enjoyed it for the first couple months. I made sure to get every available costume, and bought the DLC season pass when it first became available.
Regardless of my criticisms of it, Hyrule Warriors provided me with hours and hours of fun— and a new addiction. I don’t regret buying the game, because, through playing it, I’ve learned plenty about good and bad game design. In addition, even if I don’t continue to play it as much, I still have a gallery of the characters, very nice looking designs of older Zelda locations, and a few other things as well. It’s certainly not worth the price of the game, but it’s a plus nonetheless. Here’s where I will point out the specific aspects of this game that I strongly dislike. This thread, although it invites negative opinions of Hyrule Warriors, is meant to encourage expression and discussion, so of course, any counterarguments or praise for the game are welcome. Also, when I use the term “stage” or “map,” I’m referring to a specific environment in the game, such as Death Mountain or Skyloft. When I use the term “level,” I’m either referring to the amount of experience a character possesses (attack power), or a mission in Adventure Mode, depending on the context.1.
Retailer exclusive costumes for Link and ZeldaThe only conceivable benefit to the retailer exclusive costumes I can think of, is that the game’s producers, for some reason, wanted to “equalize” the amount of copies of the game bought at different retailers (Amazon, Gamestop, and Best Buy). In this instance, unless the game’s developers just wanted a sense of neutrality among the businesses the game was being sold in, I would expect that this has more of a benefit for the retailers, since, if we assume that an equal amount of people would each want to obtain the Skyward Sword, Twilight Princess, and Ocarina of Time costumes for Link and Zelda, then this would translate to similarly balanced purchases at each of these retailers. Regardless, this doesn’t benefit the player. Personally, I don’t think the idea to split up the alternate costumes so that the other two were unobtainable was a good idea, and it didn’t consider the best interests of the player. I know that these costumes are now available for purchase, but I still think it was a poor decision in the first place.2.
Overuse of the Zelda themeThe title screen, main menu, Adventure Mode map, and Master Quest map all use a variation of the main Zelda theme. I love the song, but even Zelda music gets old when you’re listening to it between every battle.3.
StoryHyrule Warriors is often called a “fan service” game, and its storyline is often cited as a good example of this. With new characters, and the combinations of characters from different areas on the Zelda timeline, it’s easy to see why people would appreciate the story. However, its shortcomings are greater than its benefits. Hyrule Warriors, as a non-canon “celebration title” of Zelda had the opportunity to show off a new story that would not be compatible with the rest of the Zelda series.
Apart from its characters, however, the story is almost the exact same as a newcomer to the Zelda series would expect from a Zelda game. The plot involves Link and Zelda attempting to prevent Ganondorf from completing the Triforce. Yes, Cia is mixed up in the story as well, but her presence does nothing to change these already overused plot elements. I wouldn’t mind if the Triforce played some role in the story, but I’m tired of seeing it play the same role in the story repeatedly. The problems I have with the importance of the Triforce in the plot also apply to Ganon’s status as the final boss. If the developers were trying to surprise the player (which they may not have been), then making Ganon the final boss was not an effective way to meet this goal.Next, the only unique, 'guessable' element of the story (Cia and Lana’s original identity) has no impact on the narrative other than to surprise the player. When Lana reveals to Midna that she and Cia were once the same person, this gives off the illusion of change, because the player was exposed to “important” information. However, Lana is still on the same side as the rest of the heroes, and Cia still fights against Lana and the other characters, just as it was at the beginning of the game, and just how it is at the end.
If the story in a game has “plot twist” moments, these moments should at least bend the story or gameplay a little bit. Cia and Lana’s identity are fit only for extended character biographies.4. Character rosterDynasty Warriors 7, the most recent Dynasty Warriors game to have been released before Hyrule Warriors, has a total of sixty-two characters. Hyrule Warriors, including all of the already released and upcoming DLC, has twenty-one. You might claim that this isn’t a fair argument since Hyrule Warriors is not a standard Dynasty Warriors game, but if you’re developing a game that’s a variation of a game series you’ve already established, you should at least try to reach the same standards as those games. The character roster in Hyrule Warriors is an embarrassing and awkward regression of the expansion that Dynasty Warriors gradually makes in its character roster with each installment. Also, if you consider Young Link and Link, Ganon and Ganondorf, and Midna and Twili Midna to be the same characters, and exclude original characters like Lana, Cia, Volga, and Wizzro, the character roster lies at a whopping fourteen.
Original charactersIf the appeal of a game like Hyrule Warriors is in some way connected to the variations of playable characters from the Zelda series, then why is the already lackluster character roster sacrificed to compensate for characters that have never appeared in a Zelda game? I don’t care how much Cia, Volga, and Wizzro resemble certain Zelda enemies; they serve completely different functions in the story because they are completely different characters. I would have much rather seen Cia appear as Meg the Po Sister, Volga as Volvagia or Onox, and Wizzro as Carock or a wizzrobe.
This would encourage inexperienced Zelda players to seek the origins of these characters, and would serve as a pleasant surprise for players that have already played most Zelda games— thus benefiting any type of player. In regards to Lana, while she serves as a convenient excuse to carry a variety of weapons, she could have been replaced with another canonical character— or multiple, considering her weapons don’t pertain to any one character.6. RPG elementsI find it interesting that Hyrule Warriors includes the tedious and frustrating elements of typical RPGs, without including any of the positive elements. It has grinding and random item drops, and yet doesn’t expand the move-sets of the characters.
Most characters can have their full move-set unlocked within an hour, but from that point on, the only thing about the characters that can be improved is their attack power (level), and badges, which are universal for each character. There are no character-specific moves that become available as the player levels up a character, thus the reward for grinding is not as interesting.I started playing Earthbound a few months ago, and every time I level up a character to a certain point, I anticipate what kind of ability my character will gain.
This genuinely encouraged me to keep playing because each individual character’s move-set was gradually but continually diversifying. The grinding in Hyrule Warriors, on the other hand, feels pointless. An additional complaint I have in concerns to the grinding is that it’s necessary if you want to obtain alternate costumes, weapons, or even just advance to the next level in a manageable amount of time. Thank you for the in-depth review of Hyrule Warriors,.
I agree that the game is disappointing because it is not what a Legend of Zelda game series fan hope for, as it is way off from the basic factor and essence of the original game.Maybe you can call it as a spin-off of the ones that we had grown to love since it seems as if the game dev is mocking the fans or they just created the game for its successful predecessors' reputation among us gamers but is actually designed just to reel-in money for the company where it is not what that their fans want out of the game. It makes me shudder thinking about them challenging our loyalty towards the game by doing this.imo, it is more of business politics for benefiting the maker while it badly impacts gamers' interest and trust by disappointing us. Get the drift?
I feel he's misunderstood Majora as well, personally. Majora isn't a dark lord or a tyrannical god.
I think Majora is probably the second-best executed Zelda villain after Ganondorf, precisely because he's so different. The dark lord is Ganondorf. Majora is a trickster spirit of chaos. It acts very pettily in Majora's Mask, and even on the moon it represents itself as a child.
It doesn't want to destroy Clock Town because it wants to rule or corrupt or anything like that. It wants to destroy because. Well, it's funny. Majora doesn't have grand cosmic schemes.
That's not the sort of being it is. Click to expand.I agree and disagree with this.Yes. Majora is a childish being.
His actions are not guided by lust for power, or for ruling like Ganon as you said. The important part to me is to separate the actions that Majora is responsible for and the actions permitted by the Majora Mask empowered Skull Kid. The chaos and childish acts are mainly from Skull Kid, with certain acts being much darker then others. The end of the world, of course, being directly influenced by Majora. Now, what lines are directly from Majora in the game? Your friends.
What kind of. People are they? Do these people. Think of you. (Child wearing Odolwa's mask).
Heh, heh. What makes you happy? I wonder.what makes you happy.does it make.others happy, too?
(Child wearing Goht's mask). Heh, heh.
The right thing.what is it? I wonder.if you do the right thing.does it really make.everybody.happy? (Child wearing Gyorg's mask). Heh, heh. Your true face. What kind of. The face under the mask.
Your true face? (Child wearing Twinmold's mask). Click to expand. Now, the fourth one doesn't bring up much to the discussion, but the first three do. It's important to note that while Majora wants to destroy Termina and is seemingly a child-like entity, he also sees himself as the good guy. He sees himself as the hero and Link as the villain. What is the major theme in Majora's Mask? Time and the inevitability that death will come to all things.
This is reiterated by the moon, this is reiterated by the fact the five general areas are the five stages of grief, and the repeating use of the number four, which is in Japan used as a symbol for death. One of the other main themes is empathy, and Majora's mask deals with this by showing how love and death interact. People do not fear death, as they fear the loss that results from death. The loss of no longer able to be with people you love, the loss of no longer being able to experience life, and so on.When Majora starts the descent of the moon, the land of Termina is in chaos and despair. There are many people all with their own problems and so on, many of these purported by Skull Kid in his childish aggression, which is how he is dealing with his sadness. So, to me, Majora's Mask, or just Majora, isn't a god or some demon. He is a form of death, a death that believes the only way to bring peace to the world is to end it. He believes he is doing everyone a favor and is doing it out of a twisted form of compassion.
To truly end all suffering, you must end all life. Majora, after all, is shaped after a heart. A twisted heart with thorns and eyes, but a heart nonetheless. So, he is right when he says the 'bad guy' can only run. Even if you stop Majora's plan, death will still get everyone in the end. It is only putting off the inevitable. That's my personal take on it.
Ok quick AN before I start this: Sorry everyone for creating yet another quest, and earlier than I said I would. However I just could not resist the siren call of this quest. I do however promise to get the next Magistrate on halo rings update out before I work any further on this. Also before I add the first proper turn of this I will do my best to have the first proper turn of Magistrate in Halo Rings out.(also this was inspired by Hyrule total war/conquest, and is a mix of that, Ocarina of time, Twilight Princess, and just a touch of BotW.)Now then onto the quest ( AN ends here.)In the recent past, Ganondorf managed to claim the Triforce for himself, despite the resistance put up by Princess Zelda and the Hero Link.
In reply, the Golden Goddesses unleashed a great cataclysm upon the land. Causing great damage to Hyrule, but banishing him from the world forever! Or at least for the next few generations. The land itself was reshaped by the cataclysm however, and even the maps must now be redrawn. But now, in the aftershocks of the downfall, the peoples and races of Hyrule are forging new kingdoms, new Nations, new. Dynasties.Which Faction shall you Choose?: Ordona ProvincePopulated by the Ordonians, a people much like the Hylians except for their rounded ears, Ordona has long been part of the Hyrulian Kingdom. However, with the recent devastation, Ordona has been cut off from their ancient allies, and must now carve their own path into the future.Benefits:Cavalry Breeders: The Ordonians have been breeding horses and goats for generations, and have some of the finest stock in Hyrule.Ancestral Farmers: Ordona Province was founded as a farming nation on highly fertile ground and continues to be to this day.
Ordona Farms provide a much higher yield per year then any other nation.Wolfos friends: In addition to their farming many Ordonians have taken up hunting in the past as well as animal taming. Over time several hunters have discovered methods of befriending Wolfos and partially taming them.
Nowadays many of the Wolfos of the nearby Faron woods are friends of its people. The Ordonians have also gotten pretty good with bows.Detriments:Peasant Population: The Ordonians are, all in all, made up mostly of farmers and peasants with little higher education.Volunteer Army: Ordona Province has never had a standing army, depending on its age old alliance to the Kingdom of Hyrule for protection. What troops it does have are merely militia.Moblin Neighbors: The Moblin homeland is quite close to the Ordona Province. Guess who comes to visit every so often? Lanayru ProvinceThe site of the first meeting between the Zora Domain and the Kingdom of Hyrule, Lanayru has long been a location where both races have mixed together, often to the distaste of purer blooded kin in the center of each races power.

Mechanics:Ok first, this is going to be a relatively low stat quest when it comes to battles. I will probably give rough ideas out on how strong a troop type is and the like but the only hard numbers will be the actual numbers.
Other than those two factors battles will be decided by strategy, terrain, Defences and the odd roll.Outside of battles will be a different story. This quest will be much more about time management rather than randomized rolls for success/luck. To me it is bad taste to make building something based around a roll that determines either complete success or complete failure. So in this quest while there will still be rolls they won't be for outright success/failure for most things.Instead you will roll on whether you get a minor success and only little progress done, a moderate success with standard progress done, or a Major success with a little extra work done but more importantly a slight cost reduction too. The only way you can fail in the large amount of choices you might make is through a natural 1 which will explain all major accidents and problems that can happen in building something. With a nat 100 you still get a critsuccess which gives you a massive boost to progress as well as a solid cost reduction. However with every rule there are exceptions, lets talk about them now. The few exceptions to this rule are going to be things like research though more often than not it will still have a very low chance of failure.
Now other things like exploration into a previously unexplored area can also fail but again it will be rare.As for Nat 1's on things that can fail normally. Nat 1's have much greater effects. For example let's say you were researching something volatile and got a nat 1.
The effects would be something along the lines of the building blowing up and possibly worse depending on a secondary roll to determine how bad the effect will be. Or if you were researching a cure to a disease and got a nat 1 the effects could end up being that you made the disease resistant to what you were trying and made it more difficult to cure.
The long dark grey mother firewood. The side quests aren’t critical, but they are fun. You may find yourself given a quest with some juicy side information given about wonderful little loot treasure troves somewhere on the map.
Or outright accidently released the new strain of the disease you accidently created which now infects your population and is WORSE than the previous version of the disease. Now onto how you actually get stuff done.Your stat in a given category -10 will determine the additional bonus to any actions you take. You do not have a set number of actions per a given type instead you have a pool of actions that you can spend as you like. There is nothing that prohibits you from spending all your actions on developing domestic infrastructure or making diplomatic overtures. This pool is called Imperial Authority.Your Imperial Authority pool is primarily based on how happy your population is and how many towns you have along with how loyal they are to you. This is reflected in population morale and in the Provincial influence pool combined with the number of towns in said province.Provincial influence pools can be increased by enacting policies that help them, defending them from enemies, and other such activities. You can think of it as your political support from the leadership of a given province and the towns in said province. The stronger it is the higher the percentage of the maximum authority a town provides you.Towns provide a certain amount of authority based on their size.
Small towns provide a maximum of 1/2 an authority point, medium towns provide a max of 1 authority point, Large towns provide a maximum of 1.5 authority points, small cities provide 2 authority points, medium cities provide 2.5 authority points and large cities provide 3 authority points.Capitals both Provincial and nation provide a set amount of maximum authority no matter their size. Nation capitals provide a maximum of 4 authority and cannot go below 75% influence unless it is in open rebellion. Provincial capitals provide a maximum of 3 authority and cannot go below 50% influence unless it is in open rebellion. You can only have 1 nation capital though you can change it to a new location if you have good enough reasons. Provincial capitals can only be declared if you have at least 90% control over a province.Population morale begins at average and represents a mildly content but not particularly happy or industrious society. Things like victorious campaigns, food surplus, certain buildings being built, lower civil strife, and so on can increase this. Higher levels of population morale will provide modifiers to tax income and grants additional Imperial Authority.
You can think of this as your popular support.Ongoing actions, that is actions with a label like this 'Time: 2 turns' or 'Time: 3 turns' take up the resource costs in materials for each turn that passes, though not the cost in rupees as that is shown through upkeep. This does not apply to actions with the label 'Time: 1 turn, takes effect after 3 turns'. This is meant to symbolize the time and ongoing resource usage it takes to do something, and the time it takes for something you did to actually show results respectively.Refugees are only likely to come up at the start or if a large portion of your population is displaced somehow. However Refugees only grant 1/2 Imperial authority and 1/10 tax income, and therefore it is in your best interest to get rid of any refugee status among your population. The 1/2 Imperial authority only applies when half or more of a population are refugees, but it cuts both into your racial support for every race that has 1/2 or more of its pop as refugees and your popular support if over 1/2 your population are refugees.Bureaucratic Inefficiency is a penalty taken to your income to reflect malfeasance, inefficient tax codes, corruption, inaccurate tracking of funds, etc. This number typically grows with the Kingdom though you can take steps to counteract it.
Hyrule Total War How To Install
It is easier to counteract the lower bureaucratic inefficiency is, but they take time to put into place so the trade off is tying up your Authority over a few turns in exchange for easier rolls. A delicate balancing act.Lastly are your advisors and hero units.
Hyrule Total War Units
Some of these are interchangeable, your military ones in particular. Your advisors are VERY important as they grant you additional actions in a given category. They are however not easy to recruit, though you are young and have time to find them. You will start out with a few but definitely not one for every category.Hero units are individuals of great military might, capable of impacting your battles.
This might mean warriors capable of fighting entire units, generals with unusually high capability or magic casters that can rain fire from the sky. Careful usage of these can swing the tides of war in your favor.
Enemies however have access to their own such units. The different types of actions as well as your stats are:Martial: How well you understand military matters. Effects how battles go, your ability to build military structures such as walls, barracks, training grounds, etc. And how well you can train troops.Administration: Your understanding of economics, architecture, engineering, etc.
This Affects your ability to manage your nation.Diplomacy: Your ability to talk gud and understanding of social cues. This affects diplomatic talks, trade deals, peace treaties, getting people to work for you, etc.Intrigue: Your sneaky powers and silver tongue. This affects spying, assassination, knowing when someone is lying, falsifying information for your enemies, etc.Research: Your ability to read, learn, and imagination.
This affects your nation's ability to learn new things as well as re-discover old technologies.Faith: This is your piety, how much you believe in your religion, and as many magics in LoZ run on religion possibly your magical ability. This affects your ability to create grand temples, your ability to convert others, your ability to utilize certain artifacts, and makes people who worship the same as you like you more (or the opposite for those who don't.)Combat: determines your pure basic combat ability before magic, special weapons, and other such things are applied.Effective Combat Score: this is what your score actually is, and it indicates your overall fighting ability.

X Lanayru ProvinceThe site of the first meeting between the Zora Domain and the Kingdom of Hyrule, Lanayru has long been a location where both races have mixed together, often to the distaste of purer blooded kin in the center of each races power.
While the recent cataclysm upon the land caused great harm, it is also a chance for Lanayru Province to strike out and claim the independence needed to chart its own course.Love the idea of this quest! I'm a great fan of hyrule total warI'm a little disappointed that their are not Labrynna but It does not matter. You will learn about each Nation as you open up diplomacy or spy on them. Also you learn more as Intrigue levels or Diplomatic levels with each Nation increase. I have given you the Twili and Western Kingdom for now as you are opening diplomatic talks with them and they both have reasons to give you this much information. The others are all the Nations you now know exist thanks to scouting or you knew existed beforehand and are fairly certain still exist as the didn't taste the Goddesses Wrath.State of Eldin Province:N/AState of Lanayru Province:N/AState of Zora Dominion:N/AState of Kokiri Province:N/AState of the Gerudo People:N/AState of the Western Province:The Western Province has thrived outside once they escaped the Royal families control thanks in large part to being spared from the apocalypse and the refugees fleeing from the western borders of Lake Hylia.

Click to expand. Click to shrink.Ok, my fault I misunderstood.Well, i think that unfortunately Lanaryu will not win, sad beacause it was my favorite faction with labryna in hyrule total war.
So I think i will switch forX Eldin ProvinceThe location of both Kakariko Village and Death mountain. The Eldin Province houses Hylians, Gorons and even a few adventerous Ordonians, the people who call it home tend to be easygoing and peaceful compared to many others. They also have a strongly independant mindset.Because the farmer kingdom seem just 'meh' and i want make something more original than an other quest where we control Link or Zelda.Vote tally.
